Focus Pocus

In my last post, just a few hours ago, I presented my rant concerning my concern with putting too much focus on Karl Rove and missing the forrest for the trees.

A person named Steve posted a comment asking what might we do. Since the oligarchy that owns the corporations that own the fascist governments have bought all three branches of the government and have succeeded in acquiring almost all of the network T.V. and Radio with which to control the minds of the electorate it is a formidible challenge. The internet has offered an escape valve and way to communicate that has countered the propaganda machine almost enough to reign in the fascists to the point of Republican Lite, AKA Democrats. Not enough and vulnerable since the internet is also owned by a few wealthy corporations who are in turn owned by a few wealthy people. All of them Monopolists who have an extreme interest in maintaining their monopoly over trans-national corporate culture and maintaining dictatorships in countries everywhere.

I have marched in the streets protesting the government. Many credit the ending of the war in Vietnam to such marching against government buildings in the '60s but our major overt involvement in that war lasted for 10 years. And was followed by only a slight ripple in the force with the Carter administration which was followed by a return of even more sinister forces of the far right as the Nixon Empire struck back with a senile hired actor and many purveyors of the culture of death squads, lower wages, homelessness gigantic national debt and happy-talk.

I propose taking to the streets again but not mainly in Washington but in many, many locations. Outside every Fox affiliate in particular. A show of many people in New York or Washington for a few hours is hardly a burp in the collective consciousness and will be not reported, under reported and always spun to the max by the main stream media. It only takes a few people in front of media outlets every day to be seen every day by a lot of people everywhere. People who don't relate well to the internet, people who go straight to the Drudge Report as seen on T.V., people who never thought to question the truth of the "news".

Protesting Fox News is hardly a new idea and protesting it via taking to the streets outside their establishments is not new either. Code Pink has done this more than once. They are not the only ones but apparently the main ones. Fox is an easy target because they are so blatantly biased and appeal so strongly to the dull witted. CNN and the rest can and should be targetted as well. What they are doing is treason. Plain and simple treason undermining democracy with resulting death, poverty and political oppression.

Flag courtesy of myself, noel, take a copy for free! Add something to it, display it on you own page. Do whatever you want with it.

A person can take a sign and go out in fron of a propaganda outlet alone. With no organization. You can go with a friend. You can protest in shifts if you have a lot of people who want to raise the consciousness of the brainwashed masses. Take a flag. The American flag is not the property of trans national corporate culture. These desecrators of everything we beleive our flag stands for should be banned from possessing an American flag much less claiming it as another one of their coprighted assets like "IBM Blue" or "Fair and Balanced". You will feel good. When you get the finger, or a venomous "JESUS LOVES YOU" from a frothy mouthed passer by you will know you have struck a resonant chord. Mostly you will likely get a lot of positive feedback from the majority of Americans, who didn't vote for Bush. If you live outside of the "Homeland" of the empire I would guess you will get great support.
